Peter Wilt – President, Indy Eleven
Peter Wilt is the President of the Indy Eleven professional soccer organization. He has earned six championship rings and record business growth for professional soccer teams in four different American soccer leagues. He has successfully launched three professional soccer teams and has restarted three others during his career, each time leading the clubs to the top of their league both on and off the field.
Wilt is most well known as the founding General Manager and long time President of Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire, where his teams set attendance and corporate sponsorship records while earning an MLS Cup; a Supporters Shield; Eastern, Central and Western Conference crowns and four U.S. Open Cup Championships under his leadership. Wilt also led efforts to develop TOYOTA PARK, the first 100% publicly funded soccer stadium in Major League Soccer.
He has worked for more than 30 years in professional sports, a career that includes five years in professional hockey and the last 25 years in professional soccer.
Wilt has served on various soccer boards including the United States Soccer Federation, Women’s Professional Soccer and Major Indoor Soccer League. He also chaired the Anschutz Soccer Management Council when AEG owned multiple teams in MLS.
He was the founding President of the FireWorks For Kids Foundation and the Chicago Red Stars Charitable Foundation and also served as President of the non-profit Minnesota Thunder Youth Development Organization. Wilt worked with 1990 U.S. World Cup player Jimmy Banks to launch Banks’ inner city soccer program, which has served Milwaukee youth since 1988. He has also served on the boards of America SCORES Milwaukee and the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation.
Wilt is a member of the Illinois Soccer Hall of Fame, the Marian Central Athletic Hall of Fame, the Farnese Hall of Fame and the Chicago Fire’s Ring of Fire.
In 1998, Wilt was named MLS’s Executive of the Year and Northwest Herald Sportsman of the Year. He was named the Naperville Person of the Year by the Daily Herald in 2002. Wilt and his wife Ann are graduates of Marquette University.
Jean Scallon – CEO, Meadows Hospital
Jean currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Bloomington Meadows Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana where she is responsible for day-to-day operations. Jean earned her undergraduate degree in Recreation Administration/Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Idaho and Her Masters Degree in Health Education from the University of Northern Iowa. She has over 20 years experience in the behavioral health arena spanning from direct patient care to Chief Executive Officer.
Jean brings a great amount of enthusiasm and compassion to her role as CEO at Bloomington Meadows Hospital. Her daily focus is patient safety and treatment. She is an advocate for community involvement, sitting on the Board of Directors for Monroe County YMCA as well as Monroe County Wraparound Services and is an active participant in the Indiana Hospital Association, IARCCA, and the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.
Michele Mattoon – Coltrain Group, CEO
Michele Mattoon is chief executive officer of Coltrain Group LLC, and director of the non-profit National School Reform Faculty. She works with businesses, organizations, and educators around the world in professional collaboration groups, strategic planning sessions, conflict resolution, mediation and other work related to collaboration and communication. Michele is also trained in the teaching of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and regularly teaches groups techniques for managing stress. Before Michele began training and consulting, she was an educator for 26 years. She received the Hoosier Educator Award in 2000 and the Dorothy Johnson Award for Excellence in Education of Young Children in 2001. She earned her B.A from Indiana University and is a long time resident of Bloomington, Indiana.
Michele Mattoon has worked with clients from a variety of businesses and organizations, including the American Museum of Natural History, Indiana University, the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, The Deborah Meier Institute, the National School Reform Faculty, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, the VOICE youth smoking cessation program, West Palm Beach State College, and the New York City Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
Jim McKean – Coltrain Group, Senior Consultant
Jim McKean is a coach, writer and consultant, based in Bloomington, Indiana. He is known for his group facilitation skills and his deep insights into business models and leadership. He is a trusted adviser to company leaders and skilled at helping leaders map new directions, at designing measurement systems to track progress against goals, identifying key leading indicators to increase the probability of success, and conducting risk analysis to lower the probability of failures in human and technical systems. Jim earned his M.B.A. from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in Management and Decision Information Sciences. He completed the Six Sigma Belt training at Motorola University in Chicago and is a certified practitioner of the Franklin Covey 4 Disciplines of Execution and Vital Smarts Crucial Conversations. As Manager of Research for the IU Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Jim led dozens of management consulting projects for privately held companies in the Midwest, including manufacturers, professional service companies, distributors and transport companies.
