On October 1, 2013 the Innovative Leadership Institute will take place at the Monroe County Convention Center in partnership with the local Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County, Coltrain Group and SmallBox.
Among other notable presenters, the event will feature 2011 SBA Indiana Business Advocate of the Year and CEO of SmallBox, Jeb Banner, whose forward-thinking approach to innovation and building a collaborative organizational culture have made his company one of the fastest growing businesses in Indianapolis.
Starting as a successful web design firm, in 2006 Jeb and SmallBox evolved into a fully integrated web marketing company. By early 2012, SmallBox committed to even deeper consulting engagements, working with clients on organizational health and culture dynamics. These efforts led to the company’s more recent focus on “culture-powered marketing.”
Other Banner projects of note include Musical Family Tree and co-founding the Speak Easy in Indianapolis, a unique gathering place designed to support Indianapolis-based entrepreneurs and startups.
Participants at the upcoming event will learn about Jeb’s framework for building and sustaining organizational innovation year round.
“For a lot of businesses, the idea of being more innovative sounds great. It’s an aspiration. But finding the time to be more creative and innovative continues to be a challenge for most. Businesses and entrepreneurs who figure out how to find the time and framework for sustaining an innovative culture are the ones that will go from good to great,” explains event organizer, Derek Richey of Coltrain Group, “at the event Jeb is going to give us an insiders view of the framework and processes SmallBox used to foster growth and an innovative culture.”
