Building Powerful Relationships That Strengthen Your Business…

The term PR often conjures negative images of spin and publicity stunts, but these notions are far removed from the positive and productive way that a public relations plan can improve an organization and build fruitful relationships and partnerships with other organizations and businesses. In this Lunch and Learn, you’ll find out what “public relations” really means, and five simple ways you can make it work for your organization.

Join Coltrain Group and Indiana Univeristy Director of Public Relations and Community Outreach, Kyla Cox Deckard on December 10th for this informative and engaging live event. Kyla’s presentation will cover the following topics:

  • How you can employ social media to connect and build partnerships with other businesses and organizations

  • Learn different models of communication and which one is most effective for your goals

  • Find out why expensive materials and media might not be the answers to your challenges

  • Consider crisis communications and the steps to create your own plan

  • Gather ideas for inexpensive ways you can improve public relations inside and outside of your organization

About our Featured Speaker: Kyla Cox Deckard is Director of Public Relations and Community Outreach at Indiana University, and the Executive Director of Leadership Bloomington Monroe County.
